The November lineup includes Max Cooper, Dasha Rush and Midnight Operator.
The first edition of MUTEK JP will take place across various venues in Tokyo's Shibuya neighborhood from November 2nd through 4th.
As with all MUTEK events, held in Montreal and Mexico City, the festival's Japanese arm will emphasize imaginative live sets and audio-visual projects, while also focusing on "cultivating local talent in a global context." The schedule includes a Raster-Noton label showcase as well as sets from Dasha Rush, Max Cooper (who's booked for a DJ set) and Ena, one of Tokyo's best-known bass music producers.
The festival has also booked Midnight Operator, the live duo of Mathew and Nathan Jonson, and Robin Fox, an Australian affiliate of the experimental label Editions Mego. Additional local names include Rater-Noton's Ueno Masaaki and Intercity-Express. The three-day program comprises four shows in total.
