Rane has been sold.
The American manufacturer of DJ mixers, such as the MP2015, and other musical equipment has been running since 1981. As DJ Tech Tools reports, its cofounders, Linda Arink and Dennis Bohn, have sold the company to inMusic, a group that's purchased and streamlined various electronic music brands over the past two decades, including Numark, Alesis, Denon and Akai. In a brief statement, the reason for the sale was ascribed to Arink and Bohn wishing to retire. However, Rane will continue "some operations" in its Mukilteo, Washington base.
