- The now Berlin-based DJ is back in the US this month for two weeks of touring.
Karl Meier will play five US gigs this month.
The clued-in techno selector, one half of Downwards-affiliated duo Talker, made the move from Chicago to Berlin this year. His stateside sojourn will begin in Brooklyn on Saturday, July 16th with a set at Unter and The Bunker's 36-hour party. The lengthy lineup for that one includes Rødhåd, Developer and Ancient Methods. Later that night he'll be back in Philadelphia for another edition of rizumu's Static Channel series. Having already played an open-to-close set there back in February, he'll start this evening with a four-hour set before Bill Converse (who's got another Dark Entries release on the way).
Next up is Los Angeles on the 22nd for a VSSL party alongside longtime friend Israel Vines. Then, at some point later that weekend, he'll play Sunset Sound System's sold-out Sunset Campout in Belden, California (a couple hours' drive north of Sacramento), whose program also includes Âme, Convextion, Nathan Fake and Solar, to name a few. Meier will then head to Buffalo for an all-night set at REDUX, his last US booking this time around.
Check out our Playing Favourites feature with Meier from earlier this year, and tune into this recording of him DJing in Berlin, which was a recent RA mix of the day.
Tickets to the parties in Brooklyn and Buffalo are available on RA.
