  • In August, !K7 will release a Dâm-Funk 12-inch following-up on his recent DJ-Kicks mix. Though he's best known for unearthing rare boogie cuts, Dâm-Funk, real name Damon Riddick, has long treasured house tracks from the likes of Gemini and Mr. Fingers. He's landed a remix from Larry Heard for "Believer," an exclusive off his recent DJ Kicks entry. The flip features another DJ-Kicks selection, "Can You Read Me?", from Nite-Funk, Riddick's collaboration with fellow LA synthesizer enthusiast Nite Jewel. Riddick and Nite Jewel (real name Ramona Gonzales) recently rebooted their project in earnest, and just today, the duo released its debut EP on Dâm-Funk's Glydezone label.
