- Kirn handles the outlet's first release, a five-track digital-only EP out on Bandcamp today.
Peter Kirn, best known as the founder of popular music technology blog Create Digital Music, has launched a new label called Establishment.
The label's first release is a five-track EP by Kirn as Imaski, which includes remixes from Jamaica Suk and Moderna. It sees Kirn deliver a selection of "hyperreal pop" cuts capped off with vocals from Laura Helm. A press release accompanying the label's announcement explains that future Establishment releases will make use of "DIY sources and open technologies" while exploring "medium as well as content." Imaski is currently only available via Bandcamp, but will hit other online stores on July 12th.
