- The Detroit house don has a new 12-inch coming through his own label, La Vida.
Andrés will release Mighty Tribe on La Vida soon.
We last heard from Andrés, real name Humberto Hernández, on the 2015 EP Believin', a record Kit MacDonald said continued his knack for making house tunes with a "timeless feel" in his review for RA. For the fourth release on his imprint La Vida he continues on in low-slung house territory, working in disco and Brazilian influences. Late last year, Christine Kakaire spoke with the long-time Moodymann affiliate on his hip-hop roots, the success of his 2012 track, "New For U," and his forthcoming album, Andres IV.
