- The two-day festival will go down in August.
Charivari Detroit will take place this year on August 6th and 7th.
This is Charivari's third year, and second at Belle Isle (the first year went down at Milliken State Park & Harbor). And like the first two editions, this one is heavily focused on local Detroit talent, spread across three stages. This year's lineup includes Mike Huckaby, Juan Atkins, Terrence Parker (who will perform with Merachka), Eddie Fowlkes, Delano Smith and Rick Wilhite. Stacey Hale and Patrice Scott are also booked, as are Rick Wade, Keith Worthy, Ataxia and Kai Alce.
Though Charivari was a free festival in the past, this year it will charge admission, with early bird ticket sales starting this weekend at local record stores. There will also be a kick-off event on Friday, August 5th at The Works, though details for that are under wraps for now.
