- The Detroit producer's first solo release since his 2015 album comes via his own Sistrum Recordings.
Patrice Scott will issue The Detroit Upright 12-inch on Sistrum Recordings April 12th.
The Motor City house artist and Sistrum label boss has been carving out a unique and deep take on the Detroit sound since 2006, though he's been spinning records since the '80s. The label says the new two-tracker "features two choice cuts of pure soul," going on to say the title track functions not only as house music but "future jazz." Scott collaborated with Chris Mitchell on a Modular One EP last year, but other than that we haven't heard from him since his LP debut Euphonium. Check out our positive review of that effort here.
