- The Italian techno artist's next LP will arrive on Stroboscopic Artefacts in May.
Lucy's next album, Self Mythology, will see release via his own Stroboscopic Artefacts label on May 6th.
It's Luca Mortellaro's third full-length, following 2011's Wordplay For Working Bees and 2014's Churches Schools And Guns. The album features collaborations with Jon Jacobs, who contributes improvised vocals, flute and percussion. There's a strong conceptual focus—Self Mythology references "old legends and fairytales," the label says, with the aim of creating an "intimate audio autobiography of its creators while also referring back to the stories that have shaped human destiny for millennia." It will be available on double-LP, CD and digital formats.
Lucy has also revealed initial details of a new live show. He'll be performing with Jon Jacobs, while his brother, Ignazio Mortellaro (AKA Oblivious Artefacts), oversees the show's visual direction. No dates have been confirmed yet.
