  • Massive Attack will be one short for the remainder of their European tour, with leading vocalist Sinead O'Connor pulling out, due to health reasons. What Seams a dramatic course of action, she has also asked to be left alone, by the media, fans and others as she “no longer wishes to be a celebrity”. Touring with the group, performing the three songs she provided vocals for on their platinum selling 100th window album; on "What Your Soul Sings," "A Prayer For England" and "Special Cases". In a letter to fans on her official website she says the following “As of July 2003 I shall be retiring from the music business. In order to pursue a different career.” Sinead also reveals that she will be releasing a retrospective DVD “In July I will be releasing a DVD of a live show and documentary featuring tracks from way back along with tracks fom Sean Nos Nua. The DVD will be entitled ‘Goodnight, thankyou. You've been a lovely audience’."
