- The prolific Japanese artist collaborates with Eiko Ishibashi on the new LP, out in March.
Masami Akita (AKA Merzbow) and Eiko Ishibashi will release Kouen Kyoudai via Editions Mego on March 18th.
Akita, the Japanese noise legend, has over 400 releases under his belt. Kouen Kyoudai marks his return to Peter Rehberg's label, following Mer Mar, a 2012 collaboration with Lasse Marhaug, and One Bird Two Bird, a 2011 effort featuring Mats Gustafsson and Jim O'Rourke. O'Rourke, another restless experimentalist living in Japan, is on production duty for this new one, which features Drag City artist Eiko Ishibashi on piano, drums and synthesizer.
