  • Marshall Jefferson has launched a Kickstarter campaign to get his new album pressed on vinyl. The 23-track LP, which remains untitled, has already been made according to the US artist. He recently took to the crowdfunding site to ask for $10,000, an amount he says will cover the cost of releasing the music as a "triple album, maybe even a quadruple album, with great album art and a story." Jefferson built his own binaural microphone especially for the project, dubbed "Househead," and collaborated with UK duo Full Intention, Rhythm Masters, K-Alexi, Tyree Cooper and Sleezy D, the mysterious figure that Jefferson has previously assured is an actual person. Jefferson says that any surplus money raised will go towards "mixing and mastering costs, and also we can get some videos done." You can donate to Jefferson's campaign here. As usual, there's a reward scheme in place, with prizes including digital downloads, 909 t-shirts, mugs and vinyl. If anyone pledges $5,000 or more, they'll receive the handmade microphone that was used to record the album.
