Contort Records will release a cassette from In Aeternam Vale on September 25th, followed by a 12-inch from WSR October 2nd.
In Aeternam Vale, the French coldwave project helmed by Laurent Prot, has experienced an underground revival over the past few years. Following a prolific run of low-key tapes spanning back to 1984, his work has been getting a second look via Minimal Wave, Jealous God and other modern imprints. The Contort tape documents his performance at the 2014 edition of Atonal, appropriately titled Live at Berlin Atonal 2014. The label will also issue the Stainless 12-inch from Emanuele Porcinai's WSR project. Porcinai is one-half of experimental dance floor unit UKNOT, and has previously self-released an album as WSR.
