- Moine Dubh will kick off this September with a series of five seven-inch singles.
UK dance music legend Andrew Weatherall has announced further details for his new label Moine Dubh.
Weatherall shared some initial plans for Moine Dubh last month in his RA podcast interview, saying that it would operate on a subscription-only, vinyl-only basis. Now, as Juno Plus reports, more information about the label has been revealed. Apparently conceived after Weatherall discovered a metal box filled with tapes, Moine Dubh will focus on "emerging folk and pop acts."
To start, a five-part series of seven-inch singles will be released starting this September. Moine Dubh's first entry will come from one Barry Woolnough—his record will feature one track, "Great Father Spirit in The Sky," as well as a hand-etching. You can check out the full list of upcoming records on the label's Facebook page.
