  • Never Apart is putting on a series of musical events in Montreal, beginning on July 12th. The local, community-oriented nonprofit has spent much of the year preparing for the NVA events, which they say "bridge the gap between the DIY and experimental scenes the city has become famous for." In addition to hosting the NVA parties, the Never Apart space in Little Italy also features a DJ studio and publicly accessible vinyl archive with more than 10,000 records, mostly in the realm of techno, house and ambient. Their summer calendar will launch on Sunday, July 12th, with a daytime event at Never Apart HQ featuring Palmbomen II, followed by an appearance from DJ Stingray on the 18th and then Delroy Edwards on August 8th. The latter two shows will be held off-site as part of a series of gigs showcasing other venues around Montreal. NVA will round off the summer with two more at-home day parties: one on August 23rd with locals Iron Galaxy and Francis Oak, and another on September 6th with DJ sets from Project Pablo and Blue Hawaii.
