UK techno artist Perc has a new EP called Gob due out in August on his own label, Perc Trax.
Gob is the first solo release to come from Ali Wells since The Power And The Glory, his RA-Recommended second album, which landed in early 2014. Wells has been busy otherwise: Perc Trax turned ten last year, an anniversary celebrated with a two-disc compilation and accompanying vinyl EP series, and lots of touring. (He also linked up with Dan Chandler for an appearance last summer on our RA Sessions series.)
The new record was produced in the run-up to the UK's general election, and like The Power And The Glory, packs its own confrontational, political edge. "Current UK issues of corporate and political greed and the rise in inequality play on Perc's mind," according to a press release. Featuring artwork from Johnny Costello, Gob will land on vinyl and digital formats.
