  • Samurai Music is launching two new imprints on July 20th. The Berlin-based label is already a pretty comprehensive concern, with sub-labels Samurai Red Seal (meant for "deeper" drum & bass) and Samurai Horo (a mostly vinyl-only imprint focusing on experimental electronics) are already well-established. Shiro, the latest to fall under the Samurai umbrella, will focus exclusively on new artists, giving them their first-ever vinyl releases. The inaugural EP features Polish artist Erkiu, whose YRA EP comprises "four tracks of techno-informed progressive drum & bass," according to Samurai. The other label, Altar, is curated by Samurai but not meant as part of the official label family. The first release comes from Nastika, who offers a "fresh take on dark techno with shades of industrial." Horo also has a new EP coming out the same day, this time from DiNT, and it's yet another debut from an unknown artist. This time the label describes the EP as "a pitch black corrosive vibe and sound like nothing else we have heard before." Stream Nastika's "Immure" below.
