  • The annual Sunset Campout will take place over the weekend of July 15th in Belden Town, a remote former gold mining town deep in the Sierra mountains. Perhaps the most well loved of the SF-based Sunset Sound System crew’s events, Dixon was so impressed by the festival in 2013 that he maintained an ongoing connection with its co-founder, Solar. The lineup is split evenly between local veterans and traveling talent, running the gamut from modern disco to minimal techno. Items & Things boss Magda sits atop the lineup along with edits don Eddie C, Axel Boman and Thugfucker. SF-based Interdimensional Transmissions affiliate Carlos Souffront and Monty Luke hold it down for the midwest style while Mutual Dreaming's Aurora Halal and LA house producer Magic Touch are slated for live sets. California mainstays like TK, Mark E Quark, Jeniluv and Mozhgan, all of whom promote their own parties, fill out the bill. The three-day festival offers guests camping and river swimming in addition to multiple stages running through the day and night. More information, and the full lineup, can be found on the campout's official site below.
