Ellen Allien, Kate Simko and Anja Schneider have been billed for an all-female April programme.
Munich club Harry Klein will feature an all-female programme called Marry Klein in April.
Marry Klein has taken place a few times in the past. With it, organisers aim to draw attention to the difficulties faced by women in the electronic music industry. (Chicago's Smart Bar runs a similar programme called DAPHNE.) A variety of club nights, workshops and talks will go down throughout April, hosting an array of established and up-and-coming artists from home and abroad. Big names this year include Kate Simko on Friday the 10th, Francesca Lombardo on Saturday the 18th, Ellen Allien on Friday the 24th, Rebekah on Saturday the 25th and Anja Schneider on Thursday the 30th. A total of 17 parties are planned, so these acts make up just a small part of the schedule, with plenty of local DJs billed too. Head to Harry Klein's club page for the full schedule.
In addition to the parties, four workshops are planned during April at the club. They include courses in DJing, VJing, graphic design and poetry, and are only open to women.
