- The Dutch techno and electro producer will kick off a new EP series in May.
Delta Funktionen will release a four-part EP series on his Radio Matrix label in the coming months.
The series is called Wasteland, and comprises tracks produced over the past year-and-a-half. Wasteland came about after Niels Luinenburg linked up with a new graphic designer and began conceptualising an extended project for them to collaborate on. The end result was a collection of electro and techno cuts to be spread over four slabs of wax with staggered release dates.
A Drexciya-like info sheet accompanies the release. Apparently Wasteland is the name of a mysterious planet, and the music across these EPs represents the auditory data recorded on Delta Funktionen's journey towards it. The first in the series, Chapter 1: Goodbye Galaxy, is due out in May. The release dates for the others are TBA. Once they're all out, however, Luinenburg will drop a CD with the entire Wasteland collection and a bonus track. Preview Chapter 1 below.
