- The April release is Samurai Horo's first cassette.
ENA will release a cassette called Divided on April 6th.
Divided follows a busy 2014 for Japanese producer Yu Asaeda, which included two EPs and an album for Samurai Horo. Less than six months on from the release of that LP, Binaural, he's returning to the Berlin imprint's experimental sublabel for its first cassette.
The tape came out of preparations for his live set, which premiered earlier this year at Back To Chill in Tokyo. Each track represents an individual idea from the set isolated and then built into a complete tune itself. Samurai hint that it's an even more cerebral affair than Binaural, with ENA "breaking free from genre associations and experimenting with his unmistakable sound by stretching it out and giving the ideas room to breathe."
