The Berlin producer will stage his debut stateside tour in late March.
Max Graef will mount a spring tour of North America beginning March 19th.
The sometime Oye Records clerk and jazz/funk obsessive has built a sturdy following around his laidback house sound. RA lent its Recommended status to his debut full-length Rivers Of The Red Planet after featuring Graef as part of our Breaking Through series. Since then, the Berlin wunderkind has launched Money $ex Records, a label focusing on jazz, house and hip-hop run in collaboration with Glenn Astro and Delfonic.
In keeping with this collaborative spirit, Graef will bring shadowy '50s obsessed duo CTEPEO '57 along for the tour. The caravan starts at Chicago's Primary club on March 19th. He'll then bounce around the East Coast and Midwest with gigs in D.C., Detroit and Miami. The West Coast leg starts at The Wherehouse in Tijuana. Graef and CTEPEO will then appear at the Far Away party in LA before heading to the all-night Hot Mass event in Pittsburgh. They'll also play at the Panther Room in Brooklyn's Output club before wrapping with a pair of Canadian dates.
Electronic Beats recently hung out with Graef in the studio for their Slices feature. Check out the clip below.
