  • Native Instruments has released a new expansion pack for its Maschine hardware/software groovebox called Circuit Halo. The subject of the pack is vintage gear, and they've brought Danish sound designer Joël Krozer of 6 Bit Deep on board to lend his expertise to the sampling process. You'll find sounds from synths like the Roland Juno 60, Korg MS-20 and Sequential Circuits Pro One in the pack, and a cache of what's described as "a mix of vintage and modern drum machines." They've employed a range of vintage effects processing on the samples as well to help lend some extra character and customization to the collection. As is usual for these packs, Circuit Halo comes with a handful of readymade projects, special drum kits and presets to help get started. There's also a stripped-down version for iMaschine, the NI's iOS version of the line. Circuit Halo for Native Instruments Maschine is now available for $49.
