- The London producer and Night Slugs boss will release his first solo EP since 2011 next May.

Bok Bok will release the Your Charizmatic Self EP on May 26th.
Your Charizmatic Self is the first full-fledged solo EP from the Night Slugs founder since 2011's grime smash "Silo Pass." He's kept busy in the meantime, touring all over the place, collaborating with Tom Trago and more recently dropping "Melba's Call", his funky hook-up with Kelela. That one forms the backbone of the new EP in both its original and instrumental forms.
According to XLR8R, the seven-tracker apparently takes place inside the same studio as "Melba's Call" (pictured on that single's artwork), with sounds meant to replicate both the cold concrete and lush life of the plants. The press release goes onto say that "these tracks continue in the tradition of R&G (rhythm & grime) and its project to blend the soul of R&B with the potency of grime." Check out the "Deleted Mix" of "Melba's Call" below.
