- The new series from the BC label offers more deluxe packaging.
Silent Season has released a new LP from Mind Over MIDI called Polyphony.
The Vancouver Island-based techno label is already well-known for its gorgeous artwork prominently featuring landscape photography of British Columbia (of which you can get an eyeful in our Label of the Month feature from 2012), but Elements takes it a step further, replacing the usual recycled cardboard sleeves with "thick black 18pt French Muscletone" paper (which is also recycled), decorated with metallic silver ink. As usual, they're all hand assembled by label founder Jamie McCue and company. The first release in the series comes from Norwegian producer Helge Tømmervåg, AKA Mind Over MIDI, and it's his third release of ambient-leaning dub techno for the label.
