Parris Mitchell and other label affiliates will play the main room at Public Works, while Mister Saturday Night take the reins in the loft.
At San Francisco's Public Works on Saturday, March 22nd, ICEE HOT and Honey Soundsystem will present a showcase for Chicago's famed Dance Mania imprint.
First launched in 1985, Dance Mania had been mostly inactive for more than a decade, but the label kicked back into gear last year with reissued tracks as well as new records. They also recently linked up with crate-digging UK imprint Strut to release a double-disc retrospective. Flying the Dance Mania flag at Public Works will be Parris Mitchell, who now helps run the label, along with Paul Johnson and Jammin Gerald.
Those three are the main room guests, while the NYC duo Mister Saturday Night, AKA Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, will take to the decks in the venue's loft. The night's program will be completed by a "full slate" of residents from both ICEE HOT and Honey Soundsystem (that collective recently wrapped up a cross-country tour), including Ghosts On Tape and Josh Cheon.
Tickets to the party are available here on RA.
