  • Software Recording Co will release Thug Entrancer's debut album on February 10th, 2014. Thug Entrancer is the alias of Ryan McRyhew, a Denver-born artist who moved to Chicago in 2011 and found inspiration in that city's rich musical history. House and juke are among the inspirations for his debut full-length Death After Life, which consists of eight "chapters" that explore the darker undercurrents of Chicago music. Most of it was written and recorded on-the-fly with no samples and little post-production. The digital version will come with two extra tracks. You can hear the fourth chapter of Death After Life below, or over at the label's YouTube page.
