- The debut LP from the London-based duo will come out through WetYourSelf in December.
August Jakobsen and Peter Pixzel, AKA APP, have released full details surrounding their debut album Appiness.
The Danish-born, London-based pair first met at a party in 2011. Since then they have put out records via the likes of Diynamic, Kindisch and WetYourSelf Recordings. The latter, which is partly run by Pixzel, will release the album in December. Across its 13-tracks, the LP explores a variety of club-centric sounds, from the glitchy melodic tones of "Soma" and "Inter" to the low-slung house of "Magic." Vocals feature heavily on the record, with Georgina Lovey, Tuhin Chisti & Graziella and previous collaborators The French Edge all contributing. The latter feature on four tracks, including "My Girl," a tech house tribute to the Leadbelly-via-Nirvana hit "Where Did You Sleep Last Night."
