  • Globetrotting Canadian producer Mathew Jonson has revealed the details for a special ten-year anniversary release of his classic record Typerope, due out next month. Typerope was initially put out through Itiswhatitis Recordings back in 2003—an early solo release from an artist who's now widely adored for a distinctive, synth-heavy style that works in elements of minimal house, techno and electro. The two-tracker, with "Magic Through Music" again on the flip, will get new life on Itiswhatitis, which was re-launched by Jonson himself last year, and it won't just be a repress. Studio wizard Stefan Betke, AKA Pole, has done the remastering for the anniversary release, which will be served on 180-gram wax. A proper digital version is also on the way, one that's louder than the previous version (which was simply a recording of the vinyl). Tracklist A Typerope B Magic Through Music Itiswhatitis Recordings will release the ten-year anniversary edition of Typerope on November 4th, 2013.
