- The Berlin-based producer will release his first full-length through Downwards in October.

Samuel Kerridge will release his debut album, A Fallen Empire, through Downwards next month.
The young Berlin-based producer's rise has been a swift one—since debuting in 2012 he's released two 12-inches for Downwards and one for Horizontal Ground, which have presented a scorched-earth style of techno with experimental underpinnings. Earlier this year he mixed an RA Podcast, and has played live at clubs like Berghain and Plastic People. He also has one track, "A Shadow Cast," appearing on a forthcoming Downwards compilation.
Clocking in at seven tracks, A Fallen Empire will be released on on double-vinyl. There's not much more information to go on just yet, but a look at some of the track titles—"Black Sun," "Death Is Upon Us," "Straight To Hell" and "Scare Tactics"—suggests we can expect more of the bleak, nihilistic style that has pervaded his work to date.
