Frames Of Reference, the debut full-length from Ø [Phase], is set for an October release via Token.
The Belgian imprint has been Ø [Phase]'s home since 2007, and the UK-based producer, DJ, mastering engineer and all-around techno fiend has been one of the label's leading lights ever since. But as he explains in the press release, the concept goes back to his earliest days in the studio. "The tracks draw upon ideas going back to various points over the last 12 years or so," he says. "Some of the hooks I wrote years ago, other bits are brand new."
