- The UK drum & bass producer will inaugurate his new label in July.
Amit has started his own imprint, with the first release due out on July 29th.
UK-based producer Amit Kamboj has been making drum & bass for labels like Commercial Suicide, Metalheadz and Exit since 2002. Bets known for his dub-influenced halftime sound, he's worked with artists like Bill Laswell and has also composed for film soundtracks.
AMAR will be his first venture into label management, and comes on the heels of EPs for Exit and Tempa in the past year. The new single has quite a political agenda attached to it: "Human Warfare," a drum & bass stepper with electric guitars, is intended as "the soundtrack to a foot soldier's mind... programmed to kill at any cost." Dubstep tempo flipside "No Mercy," on the other hand, is a commentary on colonialism. Machinedrum is tapped for a digital-only remix of "Human Warfare."
