Beastie Respond has revealed details of his first album, due out May 20th.
Danish producer Tobias Pederson first appeared back in 2011 with an EP on TEAL Recordings. That release, "Syncopy," was a drum & bass roller in the style of Autonomic. His music since, mostly on TEAL, has kept the tempo high but made 80s-style synth work its primary focus. Fictitious Nostalgia is the greatest realization of that sound yet, with Pederson channelling the past through old analogue keyboards. He doesn't stick to any one genre for the LP, which includes several tracks at slower tempos. For a taste of what he sounds like these days, you can stream clips from a recent album sampler here.
