Written entirely at a Starbucks cafe, Zane Reynolds's second LP will arrive next month.
SFV Acid has revealed details of his new album, The Dwell, due out in May.
Zane Reynolds is known for his loopy, lo-fi house productions, with his pseudonym's acid reference a nod to his penchant for 303s. The Dwell will see release through Brooklyn-based UNO imprint, which we featured as our label of the month back in February. According to a press release, the album was "conceptualized and recorded at a local Starbucks ... on analogue gear, seated maniacally at a table." UNO chief Charles Dagma describes this unusual approach as "the ultimate comfort zone, a whoopee cushion of an idea, to go in there and make a body of work." Reynolds then produced the tracks at his home in San Fernando Valley. The Dwell arrives less than 12 months after the debut SFV Acid full-length, #2, which came out through the Post Present Medium label run by No Age's Dean Spunt.
