- The one-time drum & bass producer's new imprint will focus on his techno work.
ASC will debut his newest imprint, Diode, on March 4th.
San Diego-based producer James Clements has been a long-standing figure in the drum & bass scene, active since the late 90s and also producing ambient music, atmospheric techno and dubstep. His recent productions have focused on techno, with 12-inches on Perc Trax and Mote-Evolver released last year. Clements also debuted a new techno DJ set in 2012, which was later made available for download.
Diode will be Clements's second label venture—he's been running the Auxiliary imprint for a few years now. For its first few releases at least, the new label will focus on Clements' own techno material, released as ASC. The first release will come via vinyl and digital on March 4th, featuring three new tracks.
