- The Finnish group's "electronic Motörhead techno" will return in February.
K-X-P will release their second album, II, on February 11th.
The four-piece Finnish ensemble debuted in 2010 with an album on Smalltown Supersound that melded dance music with krautrock. Their new LP reportedly has a poppier bent, informed by band member Timo Kaukolampi's stint in production outfit Xenomania (a press release dubs their sound "electronic Motörhead techno"). II was written mostly in Berlin, with the group taking the city's stark landscape and "absolute hedonism" as inspiration. It will see release through UK label Melodic, home of other electronic and rock crossover acts such as Minotaur Shock.
