- The London bass label will release a collection of new and old material in October.
Kokeshi will release a new label compilation, fittingly titled Kompilation, on October 8th.
The label was founded in 2009 by Alley Cat as an outlet for emotive drum & bass. Over the past three years, Kokeshi has expanded its palette with releases from artists like Irrelevant and Lung. Kompilation will be their first label collection, and will feature a mix of previously released tracks and new material from artists like Russian producer Bulb and Dutch group Black Sun Empire. A number of the artists included will be appearing on the label for the first time, such as Southampton's Box Mouse and Nottingham's Odyssia.
Kompilation will be available digitally and on CD, with an extra track on the digital release (Calibre's remix of Irrelevant's "Better Off In Me"). Both formats include mixed and unmixed versions of the collection. The full release will be preceded by a 12-inch purple vinyl sampler featuring the new tracks from Alley Cat and Lung.
