- Modeselektor have tapped the West Coast producer to commemorate the past year of their label's releases.
Next month, Monkeytown Records will release a mix looking back on their past year of releases, simply titled Best of Monkeytown Records 2012.
The collection is mixed by Elan Stouffer, or eLan, a West Coast producer who has been a Monkeytown staple since he first debuted in 2010. Over the course of 44 minutes, Stouffer weaves together tracks from the likes of Lazer Sword, Siriusmo, Bambounou, Phon.o and Anstam. He also includes two tracks from WOW, Monkeytown's upcoming LP from German IDM luminaries Mouse on Mars, plus a new and exclusive track from his own portfolio, "Piecat Patty." The mix will be available only digitally. It follows the 2011 edition mixed by Laser Sword.
