- The German artist's third album, and first in more than four years, is due out this October.
Treibstoff will release Falko Brocksieper's third album, Shortcake Strategy, in October.
Brocksieper has been a fixture in Berlin's clubbing scene as both a DJ and producer since he moved there eight years ago. He is also one of the minds behind the Sub Static and Karloff labels, whose combined output totals more than 100 releases (Sub Static is where he issued his two previous LPs, 2003's Hoax Deluxe and 2008's Heavy Day). Shortcake Strategy will come out on Treibstoff, a Cologne-based imprint that has put out a handful of Brocksieper's EPs over the last decade. As usual, funky, organic techno and house is the name of the game. The ten-track album, which will be made available in CD format and augmented with a vinyl 4-tracker, also features collaborations with Benjamin Fehr and Big Bully.
