- Frivolous and Pheek will also play the first instalment of Toronto's newest summer festival in July.
Sammy Dee will headline the inaugural Sound In Motion festival in Toronto, taking place from July 13th-15th.
The new festival is organized by StudioFeed Toronto, a community project in Toronto meant to nurture and support the local music scene in the Ontario city. In addition to the usual glut of music performances both night and day, Sound in Motion will feature an industry mixer event, a short film exhibition, a showcase of local technology and innovation, and on Sunday afternoon a panel discussion surrouding "art and activism." Other artists on the lineup include Canadians Frivolous, Pheek, Arthur Oskan, and Knowing Looks, while the international contingent includes Chicago's Billy Dalessandro and Switzerland's Dualism. In addition to the nighttime parties at as yet TBA venues, Saturday afternoon will feature an open air party on Sugar Beach, and Sunday night will see a bevy of unofficial afterparties, also yet to be properly announced.
