- Wild Beasts, Junior Boys, Pearson Sound will also play the Yorkshire festival in August.
The Beacons Festival will make its proper debut in 2012 after being cancelled due to weather concerns in 2011.
The three-day event will take place from August 17th-19th outdoors in a new location in the hills of the Yorkshire Dales, which organizers promise is less likely to be forced to cancel than 2011's location. The lineup is heavy on electronic artists, such as UK DJs Julio Bashmore, Maya Jane Coles, Pearson Sound, and Oneman, along with English singer Jessie Ware. The festival will also feature live performances from Toronto duo Junior Boys, Kendal band Wild Beasts, singer Patrick Wolf, reggae veteran Toots & The Maytals, and Wisconsin duo Peaking Lights. There will be a number of food and drink tents and kiosks set up in the Dales, as well as art installations and exhibits, including music, poetry, talks, and even "debates." Other attractions include a ferris wheel, lounge, and a "caravan of love." Presenters for Beacons include London's Eat Your Own Ears, The Stool Pigeon, and Manchester's Now Wave.
