- The German electronic pioneers will perform eight shows at New York City's MoMA
Kraftwerk will perform most of its discography in an eight-day residency at New York City's Museum of Modern Art.
Kraftwerk Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 will feature the German band performing its discography album-by-album, from 1974's Autobahn right through to 2003's Tour de France over the course of eight nights (one album per night) at the Museum's Marron Atrium. In typical Kraftwerk fashion, the performances will be accompanied by an elaborate visual display, including "3-D visualizations" of the Kraftwerk studio albums. In addition to the complete albums, each performance will also feature other Kraftwerk tracks "adapted specifically" for the residency.
Accompanying the residency will be a museum exhibition of Kraftwerk's history both auditory and visual at MoMA PS1 from April 10 until May 14, 2012.
