The two Swedish techno DJs will head stateside next month.
Drumcode boss Adam Beyer will travel to the US with label mate Ida Engberg to play a grip of parties beginning next month.
A model of consistency—he's an annual fixture on our poll of RA users' favorite DJs—Beyer has been exporting tough, loop-based techno out of his native Sweden for two decades. Since 1996 his primary focus has been his Drumcode imprint, which now boasts more than 100 releases from the likes of Ben Sims, Cari Lekebusch and Joel Mull. Drumcode turned 15 this year, and over the past few months Beyer has toured across Europe for anniversary parties alongside many of his label mates, including Engberg. A month ago, the label released a two-CD compilation, 15 Years of Drumcode.
Aside from a set at this year's Movement Festival in May, Beyer hasn't played in the US since 2010. This time around, Engberg will join him at each party. The tour starts on Friday 13th January in Miami and finishes up in Toronto in early February. Maybe the most notable event along the way is a party at The Mid in Chicago, where the two DJs will share the bill with a live trio consisting of Carl Craig, Francesco Tristano and Moritz von Oswald.
Tickets for the party at the Treehouse in Miami can be found here on RA.
