- Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth will receive the Ghostly International artist in January next year.
In addition to Sydney, Matthew Dear will DJ in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth this coming January.
One of Ghostly International's most prominent and prolific artists, Dear's early 2012 Australian visit will be his first in three years. In that time he has released a well received album, Black City, along with several singles including a collaberation with shoegazers School of Seven Bells and New York post-punk outfit Interpol. 2011 has been a particularly active year for Dear on the touring circuit, playing everywhere from California to Finland. His trip down under will be as a DJ rather than a band leader, with club sets in most major capital cities.
The tour will begin in Perth with The Likes of You presenting the show on January 20th and the following night will be up at Barsoma in Brisbane. Dear will play January 25th and 26th at the Prince of Wales Bandroom in Melbourne and the AGWA Yacht Party in Sydney respectively. Tickets to the Melbourne show are available here on RA.
