- Brooklyn's 17-piece disco orchestra will release their first full-length in November.
Escort will release their self-titled debut album this November.
The Brooklyn-based group started getting attention almost immediately after debuting in 2006, and it's not hard to see why: at 17 members strong, they're hardly a conventional nu-disco outfit, though their bright and funky productions are perfectly DJ-friendly. Their credentials were enhanced by early remixes from Darshan Jesrani and Morgan Geist of Metro Area, and later Ewan Pearson and disco edit innovator Greg Wilson. Escort's self-titled debut features new versions of their past singles ("remixed, remastered, rearranged, and re-recorded specifically for the LP"), plus a handful of new compositions. Like all of their records to date, it will come out through their own label, Escort Records.
