  • Along with visual presentations from ambient pioneer Brian Eno, the second annual Moogfest has added another round of musical acts to its Halloween weekend lineup. With Amon Tobin, Battles and Matthew Dear among the artists announced earlier in the summer, the recent additions keep the festival's focus on eclectic electronic music, in honor of Robert Moog, creator of the seminal synthesizer that bears his name. Flying Lotus will play live, along with UK bass artists Zomby and SBTRKT, both of whom dropped albums earlier this summer. For the disco heads, DFA's James Murphy and Pat Mahoney will join forces for a 'Special Disco Version' performance; DFA experimental pop duo YACHT will also be on hand. The rest of the lineup can be seen here, with more details on the weekend to be announced soon.
