Four Tet, Shackleton, Seth Troxler and many more have also been confirmed for the festival in March.
Bloc have revealed another round of artists for their festival this March, as well as details on seven of this year's showcases.
A diverse cast of headliners has been added to the lineup, including Four Tet, Drop The Lime, Toddla T and hard techno denizen Speedy J. But probably Bloc's biggest coup so far is the addition of Aphex Twin, who will deliver his acclaimed audio-visual act at this year's event (as some of you may have gathered from the creepy video that's been making the rounds this week).
The IDM god is by no means alone on the experimental side of the bill, thanks to Venetian Snares and Raster Noton artist Alva Noto, both of whom will play at Overkill's showcase along with Daedelus, Jimmy Edgar and King Midas Sound. Bass music icon Mary Anne Hobbs will perform as well, flanked by Roska, Al Tourettes and Night Slugs co-founder L-Vis 1990. Subloaded will provide the rest of the festival's subheavy sounds with performances from Shackleton, Joy Orbison, Mala, Pinch, Untold and Hard Wax dub specialist DJ Pete, among others.
Naturally, Bloc will have a solid contingent of house and techno artists as well. London party outfit Mulletover will roll in with the Visionquest crew, AKA Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves. Bodyhammer have booked Dutch electro artist Legowelt and Orgue Electronique, and I Love Acid stay true to their name with B12, Posthuman, Global Goon and others. As for Resident Advisor, we've got a showcase lined up with Soul Clap, Floating Points, Aus music boss Will Saul and disco wunderkind Space Dimension Controller.
More announcements on Bloc's 2011 lineup are due to surface in the coming weeks.
