  • Gothenburg-based live trio Little Dragon are scheduled to play three Australian dates next month, stopping in for shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The Swedish three-piece, who have been performing together since 2006, produce an interesting electronic music hybrid. Synth-pop has long been a staple genre of choice, but minimal, electronic folk and neo soul all have a place in their sound as well. Since their debut almost five years ago, the outfit has released two albums: a self-titled effort in 2007 and 2009's Machine Dreams. Both albums saw the act cover a lot of ground musically, but each was tied together by the underlying pop subtlety that has characterised much of Little Dragon's material. The tour kicks off on December 10th with a performance in Melbourne. From there the group will head north for a midweek slot at Future Classic in Sydney, then play a small-scale show in Brisbane the following Saturday. Tickets to their Sydney appearance are available from RA Tickets.
