The acclaimed guitar experimentalist will hit 11 dates in the US and Canada next month.
Austrian experimental artist Christian Fennesz is gearing up for a tour across North America next month, hitting 11 cities in the US and Canada.
Though his weapon of choice has long been the electric guitar, Fennesz's glitchy compositions hardly sound like they came from a six-stringed instrument. He's put out dozens of records over the course of his career, including underground favorites like Venice and Endless Summer, and his solo output has hardly slowed since his debut in the early '90s, with two full-lengths already released this year: a collaborative live album called Knoxville on Thrill Jockey and a limited edition cassette called Szampler. His tour kicks off early next month at Le Poisson Rouge in New York and finishes up at Emo's in Austin three weeks later, with appearances in Vancouver, Boston and Seattle's Decibel festival in between.
