- Rinse will release the UK funky producer's eponymous full-length next month.
Roska has completed work on his debut album, which will see a release through Rinse in April.
Real name Wayne Goodlitt, Roska has become one of the true success stories of the UK funky scene, unleashing a flurry of raw and percussive singles over the last two years and managing to gain a wide base of international support in the process. Speaking to FACT recently, Roska made it clear that he wanted to use the album to "push the barrier a little more," adding that he wants to show that his "sound appeals to more than one genre." However, it's his stripped and energetic house style that gets the main focus on Roska, ranging from the squiggly tribal electro-house of "Time Stamp" through to the sultry deepness of "I Need Love." Of the ten tracks included, only "Love 2 Nite" and "Wonderful Day" have seen an official release so far, meaning plenty of fresh material when the album drops next month.
